Final year projects: ‘An Initial Investigation into the Cleaning of Historic Textiles using Laser Radiation’ and ‘Recovering History: the characterization and conservation of a ‘Coptic’ tapestry cover with pile border (a study of the use of alpha-amylase enzymes). Winner of the 1999 Worshipful Company of Woolmen's medal for outstanding achievement in textile conservation.

Specialized in tapestry weaving and photography. Degree included a 5-month period on an Erasmus program student exchange at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, NS, Canada.
